Le Boeuf Brothers

Le Boeuf Brothers is a modern jazz group based in New York City led by identical twin brothers, Remy Le Boeuf (saxophone) and Pascal Le Boeuf (piano).
==Biography==
At the age of 12, Remy & Pascal began performing at local farmer's markets and on the main strip in downtown Santa Cruz every weekend for fun. They were widely recognized for their talents as musicians and composers throughout high school and upon graduating in 2004 moved to New York City to study at the Manhattan School of Music. They are now considered part of a growing New York jazz scene characterized by odd time signatures, shifting harmonies, and the influences of hip hop, electronica, and indie rock. The San Francisco Chronicle describes their music as “a rich brand of modern jazz, with performances and compositions that display an impressive level of sophistication. Textured harmonies and shifting time signatures are handled with aplomb.” 〔Karp, Jerry. ("Twin Jazz Masters Take On The Big Apple" ), ''The San Francisco Chronicle'', San Francisco, 8 August 2004〕
The Le Boeuf Brothers won Independent Music Awards for Best Album & Best Song; in 2015, Pascal Le Boeuf's song "What Your Teacher…" won the "Jazz Instrumental Song" category and Le Boeuf Brothers won in the "Eclectic Album" category for "Remixed" at the 14th Annual Independent Music Awards; 1st place in the International Songwriting Competition, 12 total ASCAP Young Composer Awards and various awards from Downbeat Magazine. Additionally, the Le Boeuf Brothers have been commissions from Chamber Music America’s 2011 New Jazz Works: Commissioning and Ensemble Development program funded through the generosity of the Doris Duke Charitable Foundation, ASCAP/IAJE, and the National Foundation for Advancement in the Arts (NFAA). The Le Boeuf Brothers have also toured internationally and performed at the Monterey Jazz Festival, the Montreal Jazz Festival, the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, the Umbria Jazz Festival, and Jazz @ Lincoln Center.
